Default Maintenance cost- Help!2000LS

Good evening,
I have found this great third party mechanic that works on only Toyota/ Lexus vehicles. My 2000 LS400 (98,000 miles). Anyways last few times I have gone in for my service he told me my foward caster arm has torn bushings and needs to be replaced. He has quoted me at $756.00 thats including the parts and labor. Is that a good deal? It needs to get done badly, I can tell just in driving that it doesnt feel right.

Define "great mechanic"? That price is WAYYY high! When I did mine it was $250 for the two caster bars, $75 to install and another $75 for alignment. Costs rounded but this is ball park.

If it is clunking, yes it needs to be changed and you'll have uneven tire wear. Can also be other suspension bushings to make sure those are checked as well.

Wow! Okay guesse I better shop around. I only say great mechanic because I trust the guy, he has worked on Toyota's for over 20 years. They use all geniune parts so I trust my car with them. Do you think the dealership would be cheaper??

should be around the same price at dealers. you can replace the parts by yourself with some basic tools and some mechanical skills.

how about you buy the parts yourself and have your mech install them? as stated the parts can be bought through sewell lexus with a club lexus discount.

ask how much for labor alone. looks like he is gouging you on labor.
