Can the infamous EGR leak cause a/f lean mixture code 25?

Can the infamous EGR leak cause a/f lean mixture code 25?
Or should I be more focused on ECT/o2? All will be replaced with new in the next 3-4 weeks, but I will be deleting my EGR in a week and I was a little curious if it'll get rid of my code, I wasn't sure if the car is designed to detect the EGR pipe as a non-vaccuum leak when broken.
