Smile Brake Pad Wear Limit Warning Light 1994 LS400

My Brake Pad Wear Limit Warning Light won't go off. I put new brake pads on the front and the rear axle has about 60% left. I have pulled all the wheels and the wear indicator sensor looks properly installed on all 4 wheels. I have disconnected the battery and the light still comes on.

Is there a way to reset it? How would I trouble shoot it.
Thanks

You need to replace the brake pad wear sensor too.

I think on a 20 year old car I would just twist the ends of the wires together and turn the light off....
and if you do not know what I am talking about... then dont do it.. you might goof something up.
