Default 1991 engine block has no coolant while it's off the road: bad thing?

hi all,

basically, had an accident (rear-ended someone) and a lot of my coolant dumped out.

more was leaking out over a period of days. now it's not leaking out, so it's likely empty now.

it's been a week and a half since the accident, and I can't get a spot in the body shop for another three weeks.

my question: is it ok to leave the block dry during this time? or should I find the leak, block it, and fill with coolant while she waits to get in for repairs?

I'm not too sure how much I should worry about oxidation of the aluminum block. A buddy of mine said not to worry much. just do a coolant flush prior to putting her back on the road.

thanks!

it'll be fine. just don't drive it without coolant (obviously) and make sure it's properly filled and bled (with toyota long life coolant) before you take it back.
