Default Trunk Spoiler. Opinions, Pictures.

Hey guys, got a 97 ls400 and I'm looking for a trunk spoiler. Something subtle to go along with the roof spoiler I am about to get also. Really looking for something affordable, not a 300 strip of plastic. Lol.
please post any pics and links of what you may have installed and like. Thanks.

thank you for your irrelevant opinion.

Anything good will cost you money, $180-350 at least plus install. (esp. if multi-part).

Anything less will be a cheap knockoff that doesn't fit right or is generic (ala $30 ebay "lip" spoilers).

Not really much of an inbetween on the UCF2x chassis.

I don't see how Billy's opinion is irrelevant, as it pertains directly to the subject line.

As for the spoiler, I have never seen an LS with one, who knows, it could turn out.

Good luck with it. Also, if you could update with pictures when you get it on there I'm sure a few of us here are eager to see the outcome

Matt

Perhaps I worded it incorrect. I was referring to a very subtle lip. Not a "Fast and Furious" ricer spoiler. Lol

Something like this. But painted the same color. Has anyone fitted these? If so how do you feel about the mod?

First off, I'm insanely jealous of your clear tails. Especially on a black ucf..

I think spoilers don't really fit this car. You can get away with a roof spoiler only because it looks like a window visor, only for the rear windshield.

All of this is totally subjective (obviously), I mean I'm not a fan of the whole slammed concept or movement. In fact, I absolutely despise how it makes the ucf's look. And trunk spoilers fit in with that ideal. Then again I'm not a fan of the total opposite of the slammed look either. Huge donk wheels and tacky paint jobs, not for the ucf's. No sir.

I'm not a fan, but if you liked what you've seen from other ucf's with a rear spoiler, then go for it. At the very least, you'll get to see one in person if you do it to your own car. I can't tell you no, because I plan on some doing some cheesy mods to my own car for the same reason. To see if it fits the ucf's own style, subtlely.

That spoiler is OK, I guess. I mean if it came with the car, It wouldn't kill my feelings for the cars beauty.

But this:

OMG why.

^^^^^^^Appreciate the input, and the compliment. The taillights get so much attention, definitely my favorite mod.

One of the reasons I love our cars a little less. I mean I get it - it's not a Honda, but do parts have to be so hard to find and frickin' expensive? Just makes me wish I was back in Japan sometimes.
