Default vinyl wrap colors

I have had wrapped cars in the past and Iike them. I have a 98 Lexus LS 400 one owner car that is in very good shape except for the paint. Its the old crappy gold paint that fades like no other color.

I plan on keeping the car but do not want the abuse a body shop gives you in painting a car. I have ended up in " Paint Jail" so many times I am turned off of going to body shops for paint work.
Today we got 2 million dollar bugatii's being wrapped so why not my oldey but a goodie LS 400? !

I have the Ivory interior which still looks new and the tu tone gold exterior. Its very dated looking and I would like to wrap in some nice newer color........thinking of staying with the bronze / brown tones or possible the newer Lexus Gold /Satin Cashmere etc. Depends what I can get

Any ideas from you guys would be a good input...my wife votes for Matte White...Or Satin Pearl White...not sure of that one.

What say this forum for those kind enough to chime in...I do realize I will see lots of opinions, but give it a shot ( opinion) and when I am done I will post the picture on the Forum..

Thanks

The satin pearl white sounds good. I am a sucker for pearl colors and actually want to wrap mine in the factory colors, diamond pearl white and moonstone gray pearl (I think).

I was in the painting business for 35 years. I learned about people and color choices thru the years.

One of the hardest things to do is to settle on a color that YOU will like.

Sometimes people think they like a color and then are disappointed when its done because its not what they thought it would look like.

For me its best to look at other cars that are painted with colors I might like.........

My problem: What will look good on that particular car because of its size and shape...

What other trim colors did the LS400 come with because I have the taupe and Ivory interior?\

In the pearl white department was it only trimmed in Gray?

i would venture and go with a darker color like black. i like how the LS looks in a darker shade, very ominous and gangster-esque.

model year 2000.

Which shop was this? (I'm in Sarasota County and I have plans to wrap my LS in the future.) Also, I like the sound of white pearl! It's flashy, but at the same time, a very subtle flashy.

Good luck on your decision. I am thinking of plasti dipping my 2000 lexus. Perhaps wrapping is a better idea? I am getting quotes from $850-$1000 for dipping.

I'd love to see your results.

Plasti dip is horrible.........biggest mistake you will make on your lexus...your watching too many you tube videos.........it pops even with bugs......I did a part of a car the front end and hood..........looks like crap in three months..
