Default Removing cente console

Hoping someone with experience can give me a quick pointer here...

I want to remove the center console to do some wiring but I can get it out for some reason....

I was able to get the shifter surround wood piece off and remove the cup holders but I can't seem to get the rest of it out. I basically want to take this long piece out...

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the diagram but that's exactly how far I got on my own...I already have the armrest box out and cup holders.

However I can't seem to get the lower long piece out.

It may be held down by additional clips that I just need to pull on hard? If so which way do I need to pull to minimize the chance of breaking them?

You have to remove the trim around the ignition cylinder to get the front part of the console to release. I went through the same thing and cold not figure out what was holding it until I started to really look around.

I would need to double check at home but as far as I can remember the lower long piece that sits on the floor does not come anywhere near the cylinder.

Are you sure?

I had to remove the lower trim under the ignition since the console hooks into it.
