Default 1995 LS400 Problems.. Need help.

So I just got this 1995 LS400 on trade super clean car runs great and shifts fine if you drive it normal but These are the known problems I'm having..

- From switching from reverse to drive the car jumps
- Brake pad light in on
- The Trac Light is blinking.
- Today I gave it a little gas and barely had any pick up to it at all and once I did that the ECT POWER light is blinking...

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Possible bad transmission mount for the jerk.
Brake pad wear sensors need to be changed or grounded for the light.
Remove the negative battery cable for a couple minutes to try and reset the ECU for the trac and poor performance maybe.
And like python said, there's a whole thread about the Bad ECU's.

Had same symptoms on my 96, once the bad capacitors were changed it was functioning like a new car, follow the instructions on the ecu thread and you'll be ok.

Should I just buy a new computer or just order the capacitors ?

Ok so I disconnected the neg. from the battery and let it sit for a couple mins and then started it back up again and that took away the blinking trac light& ECT Power lights but the brake pad light is still on which i figured it would be.. But this time when I started it it had a high idle at like 1300-1400 until I put it in gear than it would go down to a normal idle but if i put it back into park or N it would idle high again and it did that for a good 2-3 mins then the idle finally came back down to normal.. Didn't get to take it out for a ride to see if the acceleration was any better though.. So is that a good clear sign of a bad ECU ?

stalling is a huge concern for 95's. a bad ecu will have various symptoms..the yamae ripple test procedure will eliminate or prove that the ecu is the culprit...other than that u can remove and inspect the ecu

The idle is not to far out of spec but you might need to clean your throttle body. You also might want to check your transmission fluid level to see if it's too low.
