Default 19x11/19x10 wheel fitment issues

Ive tried searching on my phone but didnt find anything or overlooked it, if the latter please post the link(s).

So i know what wheel size i want for the most part, only thing im not sure about yet is offset. I want wheels that have around 2-3 inches of lip. I do plan on slamming the car on coilovers when the funds come in, but not to the point of laying bits of frame on the ground ( i live in a complex with speed bumps about 3" tall.)

So my question is: what should i save for suspension component wise to help with fitting my selected wheel size? For tires im thinking of running 40 or 50 series tires.

Any help for this ls400 newb is greatly appreciated.

do you have a 90-94 or 95+?
19x11 is very wide and I wouldn't recommend it. You can get a 2" lip from 9" wide wheels. 10" is the widest I would go in the rear unless you have deep pockets for body mods. Just look around at the wheel thread and post a pic of what your looking for and we can help you more. I myself am trying to deside on wheels also.

yes the car year does matter. 95+ cars can fit bigger wheels such as 19s. the offsets of wheels that are 10/11" wide need to be in the 30s to work. also you cannot run 50 series tires. even 40 series tires may be too tall. go with 35 series.

check out shmee's setup: 19x10 +33 and 19x11 +32
mind you he is slammed on air suspension.

he has a few pics when he was on coilovers alone. check out his thread here.

I'm trying to find new lips for my Ordens to take them to 19x11 20.6et F and 19x12.5 14et or even 13s 6.5et in the rear... I have this OCD thing to fit the maximum width wheels into my cars that the stock fenders could possible allow with realistic camber. I always aim to hit the shock before the fender.

imho, 19x12.5 14et with the right tire choice is likely the absolute maximum width you can fit into a 95-00 rear fender when aired out, and with minimal fender work... Guys have done 12.5 -2et but were running some pretty big negative cambers from what i have seen and heavily massaged fenders. Think -10º or more in the rear, I'll be trying to do it with < -7.5º...

Well then get comfortable with a grinder and a roller!

You might be able to do 10/11s but you'll need high offsets. 30-40et would be my guess and you'll still need to roll the fenders a lot and stretch some crazy tires!

If you have skills, I can explain how to measure for maximum fitments.

yes, shave the rears and roll the fronts. i would also shave the tabs off the front fenders first before rolling. that way there is less likely a chance for dimpling!

and shmee, i share the same maximum width crusade with you! i got my indiana jones hat on!

you can just get an air controller to lower the car for show. I wouldn't recommend riding aired out though.

Can you elaborate on the term 'air out'? Do you having a daily with just air suspension?
