I just got my weekly flyer from Harbor Freight Tools, and they have this thing on special for $20.00:

I bought one a few months ago, after I returned another one back to amazon as it was a piece of junk. This one from HF is all metal construction and pumps surprisingly fast! it seems to have quite a reputation with AAA guys and other tow trucks.

BTW I always keep it together with a quart of Mobile 1 oil and few other thingies in my trunk, just in case.
The other day, out of the blue my rear right tire was very low. I have no idea why (was someone playing with my tires in the parking lot)? It was around 15psi only.
So I just pulled out my compressor, and within about a minute I was ready to go.

Those things take so long to fill the tire and are noisy but they do come in handy.

Actually this model is really fast, just as fast as those used and abused compressors at the gas station that you usually have to wait for, and then pay money only to find out it is broken.
