are they OEM lexus belts? it's an automatic latch that locks it. are they fully pulled out? they should just need a good tug to unlatch.

yes oem belts. no not fully pulled out. They simply will not unlatch to pull out further or retract.
the junyyard guy sed he had the steering wheel airbag go off on him when he was pulling the seat few weeks ago...did this in turn lock the belt? Just tired it on the other 3 belt si got from another source and infact they are fine, but the current one doesnt move...

Plug it all back in? Have you bolted the belts back into the car yet? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but if you are playing around with them outside of the car, they do have weights that will cause them to lock-up and such if tilted at certain angles. Figured I would throw that out there just in case

it is to my understanding that once the pretensioner is deployed, it cannot be resused and must be replaced? Im assuming it deployed since the air bag went off..?

Yes, I think when the air bag is activated the seat belt tensioners are also activated and I believe have to be replaced. If they have not been activated use caution when handling them as I believe they have an explosive charge like the air bags. Had to have mine replaced under warranty in a 94 because they would not retract properly - after they removed them from the car they had to hook up a battery and activate them before they could take them to the parts counter.

hmm the guy is sayign the front airbag went off because he shorted it..i dont know...going to install the thing today and see what happens, worst case i found a supplier online that sells new pretensioners for 15 or 30 bucks a pop, depending on what style it takes.

edit: yes timmy they do, 2 plugs. Ill post back end of the day with results. Time is getting real tight, I need to leave next friday for saturdays show in Brampton Ontario, still gotta wet sand my bumpers, install puddle lights, install belts, repolish my lips because you can see all the sanding scratches, buff the whole car of scratches, dye the rear parcel shelf black, install new 5000k bulbs from retrofitsource as my ebay ones are GARBAGE, align front and rear, hopefully new rear tires arrive when they say on wed...o lawd jesus. I feel i work 2 fulltime jobs owning this car! But its alll worth it in the end cruising down the hiway snapping necks.
