Default 95/96 Brake System on 93?

My dear LS owners, can I put 95/96 LS brakes on my 93? I heard that the 95/96 has four piston caliper, will I get better braking? I thought of Supra TT brakes but since my new wheels are standard disk the Supra TT brakes won't fit. Anybody is an expert on brakes? Help me out, thanks~~

Yes, you will get better braking with 4-piston calipers, but there are many variables involved.

Most likely, you will need to replace/upgrade the master cylinder (to support the larger calipers) and probably upgrade to the 1995/1996 brake lines. Will you be using 1995/1996 rotors too?

Maybe I'll use some other aftermarket cross drill slot rotor....

Test the fitting of the caliper with your wheels on to make sure the caliper bolt holes line up and the caliper clears your wheel (rim.)

I tried putting SC430 brakes on my 1990 and it was a no go. Caliper bolt holes were off by 1/2".

Cross-drilled won't do much for regular day to day driving but give you more brake noise and some flashy looks. If you really want a sporty rotor go with the slotted style rotor but beware it will eat up your brake pads faster than normal.

Try stainless steel brake lines..if I don't sell my car it would be my next mod.

I don't know when I get my new wheels next month, the 95/96 calipers will fit inside the wheels or not.....I have 20x8.5 +38 standard disk.

hmm a 20x8.5 +38 will be pretty close ken. You should have gotten a high disk setup to be safe. I wish you luck. I have +38 in the rear standard disk and i only have a 1/2 in. or less from the caliper. As for the stopping power on my car 19x10's in the rear really makes stopping a bit harder.
