I'm no electrician, but looking at this diagram, it still doesn't make sense. Seems like each distributor is feeding both banks, which means both coils and igniters are doing the same. How can one bank be out?

I would check the crank sensor.
also unplug 1 coil,see if the engine starts up...if it does plug it back in and then do the other coil. I know u changed them but maybe u got a bad one. my car had an intermittent misfire at idle, turned out to be one of the coils was barely out of spec on the secondary ohm reading...changed it,car ran fine
