Default To Chrome, or stay home?

Always thought I'd prefer chrome rims on the 99.... then picked these up and trying to decide if I want to make the swap. Thoughts?

Here's a pic as it stands now and one with the new rim..

that shiny chrome looks so much better. the faded rims and the shiny caps make it look old, the newer rims will make people think the car is newer

I don't like those stock rims in chrome. Can't you just recondition the old rims?

Mine had chrome finish which I thought was nice. Later I wanted the machine finished ones due to the chrome chipping away. On your color, I say chrome. How faded are the machine finished ones? Stripping the clear and having a wheel shop polish them is another possibility.

They are really not that faded... I"m the second owner since 130K.. now at 148k. Previous owner was Dr's wife that upgraded to a new RX350... been garaged and well cared for all its little life.
The previous centers were banged up a bit, so they purchased new chrome center caps jut before I purchased it. I just put two new tires on the back due to nail in one that could not be repaired...on the edge. There is not any significant road rash on them.. just was thinking the vehicle needed more chrome
Thanks for your replies...
Probably should have taken pics in the sunlight instead of the shade.

i'm a brushed fan myself but my car came with chromes so i had no choice. they are growing on me so i say chrome for you as well!

are the rest of your emblems gold? also on the chromes the center cap is incorrect as it should have an indent like your last pic. you can just swap over your current set.

I hate the way the chrome wheels look, you should sell them to me. Either way, you can't go wrong. PM me if you're interested in selling them.

chrome is always classy when keeping a car stock.

Those silver rims are good... as winters!

I agree with 01LEXPL. Install the chrome ones and keep the brushed ones for winter.

I also think you should lower the car just enough to get rid of the wheel gap. It'll improve the classiness of the car
