Default 1998 LS400 front bumper cover...

Searching for a replacement front bumper cover for my 98 LS400 and coming up empty...

Does anyone know of any good places to find one at a reasonable cost?

Not really I was searching all of last year and coming up empty. The only thing available is to either buy one from the dealer or go with an aftermarket Duraflex bumper. I've been looking on www.car-parts.com exclusively though.

Search adhuntr.com with ls400|"ls 400" parts|parting|bumper
You'll be up to your hood struts in spare parts.

Yeah like Pure said that's almost the cost of a new bumper, minus shipping.

That wont really help, it's just craigslist and his bumper is specific to the 98-00 ls400 which there doesn't seem to be many laying around.

I cant seem to find a link for an OEM bumper cover anymore either. At one point I did find one online but it was closer to $800...

So he puts "90 1990 91 1991 92 1992 93 1993 94 1994 95 1995 96 1996 97 1997" in the unwanted words filter, or adds 1998|98|99|1999|00|2000 to the search terms. It shouldn't take too long to find one.

There's nothing available believe me I've been checking since last year for a backup bumper. Even in the online yards. When one does pop up it's always on the west coast and by the time you get it shipped it would almost be the price of a new bumper.

The Toyota covers have the better fit unless the car has been hit and the shop didn't get the panels lined up well. With aftermarket you can save about $100-$150 but the fit varies. I've not seen many/any that give the same even gap all around. If you need the cover ASAP and a junk yard take-off isn't there, those are your current choices. If you are friendly with the body shop or Toyota parts guy, see what price they can do for you.

I'd prefer a new cover, less prep and it is a fresh part to get a good spray on it. Then get clear bra installed and it will be

i would talk to a local body shop that deals with insurance claims and they can source a cover for you much faster than you looking around. and $500 i'm sure they can help!
