What's a reasonable price to pay for a set of service manuals? There are only a couple listings on ebay right now, at $220 and $280. Is that a common price? It seems like a lot to me.

$220 is about the best you are likely to find. Make sure you get a copy of the wiring diagram manual too, if you want complete coverage of everything in the car.

The FSMs blow all the other manuals out of the water, if you have never seen them before.... Well worth the expense, and then some!

actually - you can buy them direct from the publisher, Helm Inc, for only $160

Huh... Nice find! seems like every time I checked them in the past they were Hella' expensive compared to other sources... of course i was buying repair manuals for my 1980s Toyotas instead, so that might of been why!

don't forget the wiring diagrams - a good source for those is Faxon Auto Literature or else ebay.

First thing even before i bought my LS was got the wiring manaul from faxon, 40$ IIRC, i love it! Only gripe is they dont have a fusebox diagram, need to backtrack it thru the wires on the specific page.
I have a pdf format of the FSM, but i do prefer the hardcopy.
