Default Will 18" SC430 Wheels fit on 2nd Gen LS400?

HI,

I know this quest has come up before and they can fit a first gen ls400, but can someone please tell me a definite answer of whether the 18" rims from sc430 will fit on a 95-97 LS400 or not?

I have heard both yes and no from diff people and just want to be sure before I go out and buy a set for my car.

Someone who is 100% sure please gimme an answer!

If it does fit, what is the correct tire size that I should get? Is it 235/50/18?

THanks

Ed

It's not the tire size, but it's the wheel itself. The 2nd gen LS got 4 piston calipers in the front versus 2 pistons caliper on the SC430. Those rims will fit the 1st gen LS with not problem because they have 2 pistons caliper too. But the SC430 wheels will not clear the brake calipers on 2nd gen.

Thank you very much for clarifying that for me!

Is there any other factory Lexus rims thats 17" or larger from another Lexus that will fit a 95 LS400?

THanks

with the 235-50-18 u absolutely no need to lower ur car..(that's what I hv now)

anywayz, even u want to drop it's can't be done with those tire size.. go with 245-45-18 if u want to drop the car.

btw I thought only 98-02 LS equip with bigger caliper compare to 95-97 LS..

tks ^^

Depending on caliper size, the 17s that come on the new(er) LS430s might fit the '95-97 LS400s...

I don't know if the LS430s have 2 or 4-pot calipers though.

Anyone, anyone? Buehler?

They used the same brake set up from 95-00 with 4 pistons in the front. The LS 430 still use the 4 pistons, but difference designed and added 2 pistons designed on the rear.
The 17" rims from the new LS will fit perfectly on the 95-97 LS.
