plugs & wires
what tuneup parts do you guys recommend for the 1st generation Ls400's? is there a certain plug out there that the 4.0 v8's like more than others or is it better to just put the stock stuff back in? thanks in advance for your help.

I just installed new plugs, distributor caps, and rotors in my wife's 95LS and used OEM parts. Of course, I didn't buy them directly from the dealer and saved 20% over average retail. The plugs are easy to change but the caps will take a lot more time and a shop manual helps. Denso plugs were $5.35 each, caps = $11.38, and rotors = 7.36 each. I also changed the thermostat and antifreeze while I was at it. I've owned many models of
Toyota since 1973 and would recommend sticking to OEM parts (lessons learned).

I don't think that I can advertise the dealer here but I can say that it is a Toyota dealer in Houston and the contact is Jeff Watson. I've been using them for years. It can take up to 2 weeks for some parts since he sometimes has to get them through Japan. If you'll PM me I'll send you a toll free phone number.
