It's really tempting but there is the additional insurance cost and I have nowhere to store it. My husband has it parked on my back patio and that is just not working!

I paid $8000 plus on roads ($400 odd) for a car with identical paint and trim, (but no tint) for a 6/99 a month ago.
The aussie dollar has taken a bit of a dive recently.
Well kept, hardly a mark on the interior and almost chip-free paint.
The car has the radio and aircon controls in the rear centre console but without heated front seats or reclining rear seats.
Also has a moonroof and wooden steering wheel, which according to the original owner's manual, were an option.
It'd be nice if you could keep that car, I agree that these cars will be classics someday.

Thanks to all for the nice comments and feedback. If we can't find a buyer in a better price range we will keep it. I refuse to sell it for $3500. I appreciate your help!

Its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Easy for all of us to say its worth X dollars but you still need to find that buyer with cash. LOL. Yours does look like its a very clean LS... Listen to Cowboy and price it like he stated. Good luck if you decide to sell it. Has all the timing belt, etc been done recently?

I would never sell it to a dealer! you should rather give an individual the steal, if you did decided to sell as low as $3500.
Dealers will be certain to to get a nice portion of $$$ for stocking any car. IMO that's only a good idea if you need cash immediately. And Carmax will do the same.
I second the idea of keeping it til it's a "classic". Or just wait until you get a solid offer- the LS is a great car and is still in demand by many people

I just sold my 99 for 2k with193k miles for 2k. I needed a lot of stuff like new tires, New timing belt, shift solenoids and a few other thing. But the interior was really clean and the outside was probably a 6/10. You could probably get 6000+ for yours.

I paid $6500 for my white '98 with 123,000 miles. It is super nice with pages of dealer service records.
But i had to do some normal maintenance and buy tires right away. A clean series IV in white is difficult to come accross I think.

Its worth 6000$ I'm sure, just remember it usually takes 2 or 3 months to sell a car for reasonable money.
Advertise it all over the place and you'll get a hit, its almost a specialty car really.
