Lead Lap
by the latch or near the glass?
I didnt have to remove any trim. There is plenty room between the metal lip and plastic trim near the latch to push the new trim on.
I did have to lift up the corner trim near the glass a TOUCH to slip the rubber under the "drip trays". nothign crazy, anyone can do it. I have yet to close the trunk to see how ti feels lol, too lazy to go into the house to get my keys.

I think this is a case where OEM is definitely best, regardless of price, I have attempted to replace trunk seals and door seals on many different cars with non-OEM seals (because the factory seals were discontinued) and they never fit like the originals. Haven't tried LS400 aftermarket, but I think I am too jaded after so many bad seals on other cars.

Hi - What a debate I have started. Thank you all. I chose to buy ETS59 from England and it cost me £ 39 and it is exactly the same as the original (maybe the English company supplier for Lexus) anyway so my problem solved - So once again thank you to everyone from Denmark.

The seal is priced per meter, so by ordering 5 you'll receive a single 5m length of seal. I decided to put the join by the boot latch and have had no issues with water getting in, if you were really **** you could superglue the two ends together once fitted to have it 100% sealed, however this is not required
