LS 400 total production figures
The table is taken from Wikipedia and shows sales and production figures for the Lexus LS. I am sure the US sales figures are correct for the different calendar years as these figures are very “official” and in general of great interest for the car business and are also widely published in media.
From 2006 and onwards the calendar year production figures are provided by Toyota in their official annual reports and I believe they are correct, especially as all cars were now Lexus LS and not in part Toyota Celsior.
From 1990-2005 is not clear from the table what the “export” figures actually covers, however, the reference [40] refers to “Lexus knowledge Center” at lexus.com. Here specifications and prices are available for each model and model year, including the number “total units produced” which are the figures listed in the table.
Comparing the two columns in the table for years 1990-2005 makes it quite clear that the “total units produced” number has to be the number of Lexus LS manufactured for export to the US market. Considering that “sales” is for a calendar year and “production” is for a model year the two figures correspond quite well to each other.
It could be argued that the “global” sales in 1990-2005 were close to zero, however, as the Lexus LS was exported to numerous countries around the globe and old Toyota Celsiors are still relatively common in Japan it appears that sales outside US were not neglectable. In fact, from the 2006-07 figures it appears that non-US sales, at least from that time frame, amounted for almost half of total production.
And now to my question: Can anyone provide some of the missing figures?
I would be interested in all kind of information, especially the “real” total production figure (LS + Celsior) for each year, be it model year or calendar year.
I would also be interested in any country specific sales figures for the Lexus LS. Especially, I would be most interested in the sales figures for the Toyota Celsior in Japan.

I am confused by the numbers in the Wiki table. For example, it shows 15,871 for the 2000 LS400 in the "US" column. The Lexus corporate website for the U.S. shows 11,098 units which I thought was for sales in the U.S.: http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/2000/2000LSspecs.pdf
The Wiki table shows "Exports, Production" for the 2000 LS400 as 11,098.
The U.S. corporate website could be incorrect - it would not be the first time.
