Default Mk4 Supra seat in my UCF10

So the day I went to one of the local JDM shops to buy my Veilsides, I saw that outside near the curb was a perfectly decent Mk4 seat that was about to be shot out. I ask the dude why and he told me it was because it had been sitting for so long and he wasn't able to sell it. It was then that he told me "take it, it's yours". I grabbed it with excitement and quickly brought it home to stash it under my porch where it sat, collecting molecules of crud for over a year. I decided to install it in the month of August (2013). Prior to my install (and also part of the reason why I didn't try to install it sooner), I tried to gather info about cross compatibility between the Mk4 and the LS400 (interior-wise) to absolutely no avail as I had initially assumed. As far as I knew, the seat I had got for free did not fit but I said **** it and tried to installed it anyway. It ****ing worked, well almost. The outer part of the seat bracket (closer to the outside of the car) lined up and bolted up perfect but the inside rail didn't. All I had to do to make it fit was to space the inside rail further out with longer bolts and lots of washers and it lined up. The rear right bolt (along the tunnel) didn't line up even with the inner rail spacing so I had to ghetto a piece of L-bracket and bolted the L-bracket to the chassis then to the seat. It's SUPER solid, and is totally glued to the floor, the way I like it. I'm so glad I tried this and hopefully, I'll inspire some of you who want a sportier seating position in your LS without the need for making custom brackets and buying expensive seats. Am I the only one to have done this? Let me know!

What do you think? More pics of spacing and ghetto L-bracket to come (in spring because the car is stored for winter).

Renato.
