Hello all, just joined, recently got a '93 LS400 which I love. I have always wanted one and finally one came up for a price I couldn't say no to. Its a high mile car, needs some work but its really just a driver so I'll get to the issues slowly if at all, lol.
Anyways I live in Windsor, Ontario, right by Detroit, I've only ever seen maybe 6 of these in my area, including mine.

Welcome!

When I saw your username, I thought you might be someone I know but he's in Australia right now and doesn't live in Ontario.

What are the plans for the car?
Keep it stock and drive it or modify it?

^Lol, thanks, but my username is from a movie.
I'm planning to keep this one stock and just use it to get around, but you never know, it may end up with a ton of mods, which currently funds do not allow for. I'd like to find one in nicer shape really, but they're very rare in my area, its a very domestic, union-militant area here.

Front seats, shifter and steering wheel recovered, seat heaters are slow, only one side reclines on drivers seat, heater control doesn't display, auto lights drain battery, rear bushings, p/s work, key is coming apart......It has 330k on it so its doing pretty good I'd say.

fix the power steering leaks before anything else, or you will be buying an alternator as well!

heater control display is a $30 part on ebay + some fine soldering

Thats some good mileage! how is the rust on it? I'm from ontario and all my cars got the cancer sooner or later. Its not really a car that needs modifications to be superb, just make sure you have good snow tires at the very least too avoid getting stuck in the winter, which happened on my 93 WITH snow tires too often.

You should take a ride a couple hours towards toronto you can find some MINT LS' for cheap…
I got mine for a ridiculous price from one owner, dealer maintained and garage kept. its insane!

a few more have popped up on kijiji in the 1500-2000 range that are mint with only 200-250kms.

msg me and maybe find me on Facebook. always good knowing LS owners in ontario

Thanks guys, there's no visible rust on the car, a bit on the inside bottom of the doors but that's it. I'm a huge believer in drip-style oil spray every two years, you will avoid rust completely. Have four snows on it and its no problem in the snow, we had a decent amount this year so far as well.
As far as a better car goes, its not in the cards right now due to me having zero money, lol. I would love to get another down the road but for right now this one is perfect.

Thanks, will look into the heater display after the steering, lol. It seems like there's a blockage somewhere, the leak looks like its coming from the reservoir cap, like the reservior is being pressurized........one of these days I'll fix it, lol, already cleaned the screen at the rack solenoid, was plugged up, didn't help.
