Unfortunately lubricant does not help.
Two motor factory defect. OE regulation two motor change. Both motor available modified OE number.
Lexus improved a both motor, but very expensive.
OE description, see annex.

Solution would be aftermarket or remanufactured motor.I could not find a web

the two bolts on the side then the C clip at the end and un plugged the motor and unthreaded it. (the c clip would have stopped it from being unthreaded all the way. )
part number #8923250041 should fix my problem. not really worth it to me since my steering wheel is in a good spot for me . $277.71 through Sewell.

I had both mine replaced at Lexus main dealer at about 8 years old. Cost was £600 here in England. Worryingly, they are creaking again...

A both motor is very expensive. I like tilt and telescopic function, but I can not find cheap motor on web. OE motor about 100.000 HUF(500$)/piece in Hungary.

What are you going to do now? Two motor re-replace?

Sux that these fail. I believe the programming to completely raise and then lower the wheel at every key insert wears the tilt motor unnecessarily.

Oh well.
How did you turn it? Where do I need to do it from?

I would like to know a way to stop this system from working every single time I put the key in and out. In my LS400 works but obviously won't work forever.

Is this an ECU thing or can it be dissabled by removing a fuse?
