aftermarket cheap cam and crank sensors will work in a pinch, just to get the car going and out of the bay, but I would heavily lean to the OEM Toyota parts for these critical components, so I would find them cheap online and replace them out later this spring.

napa's cam and crank sensors are not cheap..a lot of times they are reboxed oem units. they are made by standard motor products which bought out Echlin...sell em all day every day, I also do ALL of our returns so I know exactly how good or bad they are..buy with confidence. I put 2 echlin knock sensors in my ls 400 almost 8 years ago..guess what..they are still in there.

it appears to be an electrical connector - figure out where it came from and find the missing wires that are pulled out of it and if you post the wire colors, I have the wiring diagram and can tell you what it is and how to rewire it back up - I doubt that it is optional!

by the way, you need to angle those plug caps at the offsetting 60° angles as per the service manual

the 60° angles are not for looks (you can't see the plug caps once the plug covers are back on), it is to prevent misfire

Been reading up to page 2, so far so good. You've been delivering to the thread good luck with getting it to full operating condition and to how you want it. Definitely will keep checking back on progress

Are they a forum sponsor? I would be kind of pissed too.

TME hasn't been a forum sponsor in years, as far as i remember them leaving had a lot to do with late shipments and CS issues.

sounds like drop shipped due to lack of inventory, you'd still just have to deal with them locally (in the US) for returns/exchanges though. Usually at least.

PMing them is probably not a bad idea airing your frustration.
