I like it!

However I do also like what a good set of fog light bring to the table as well.

I think you should try and fill the license plate notch as well, for that super smoothed out look!

Would love to but since I live in CA, rolling w/o front plate will get you a ticket. Really hate this law!

You still can, you just have to get a floating offset plate mount like you may have seen on EVOs or Hondas.
Mounts to the crash bar through the lower grill opening and floats out in front of where the passenger or drive fog light would be. Two bolts and it's off for shows.

Default Final Version?

Been over 3 months and no cracking, etc. which is surprising since my street has been under construction for at least the same amount of time. More potholes than usual

I was never 100% satisfied with my work so last wknd I had another go with a skimcoat of filler and more paint. Then just for laughs I shot my bumper lip in chrome and threw that back on. It'll do for now. Happy New Year!

I still say shave the plate recess and get one of those motorized front plate frames like i linked to above, would make a world of difference in the overall look!

BTW, i really like it!

Well, you could just make a "plate filler" piece that pops into place using some sort of clip, kind like the way the fog lights were originally held in.

So next month will be one year since this mod and although my "jigs" never failed after flexing the bumper about 9,000 times I am starting to notice separation around the edges and cracking paint/bondo. Might go back and try this method after all.

You may get away with it as your in CA for a few weeks, but something as simple as vibrations will crack the paint and the bondo from the bumper.

You should've went to a junkyard, bought any bumper with flat surfaces and cut out pieces and shape them with a heat gun - then plastic weld the two pieces together.

Bondo isn't made for making body panels, but to fill small inconsistencies or gaps.

Either way, good luck with this...

BTW; this here is a proper step by step on how to do this and make it permanent;

I'm digging the fog light mod. Most importantly, where did you get that lip?! BTW, your ride looks extremely nice.

Thanks. I got the lip from Ebay. Not sure if this was the same seller but there are several sources for it.

I really do like the way this looks as I said in an earlier post but I happened upon these and couldn't pass it up. I already have buyers remorse because the guy who did my headlights and turn signals says he can make me some custom fog lights (including the dummy light) to match my headlights and turn signals.. albeit for a hefty price but still..

I'll have to wait until my bulbs get here and see how this looks with the leds but I'm guessing it will just be purely aesthetic (matching my HIDS and other leds on the front end) since leds have no light output unless you're willing to spend HUNDREDS...
