Potentially looking to buy a set but I'm still on the fence about it. I don't want to buy it and end up regretting it.

These aren't the Varrstoens, rather they are the Work Meister S1s. The car pictured belongs to Dranom.

It was that car which made me look into Varrstoens.

Here's a picture of Elvis' (Stancenation) car, on SSR SP1s. As for Varrstoen, I'll be getting ES1s when the time comes

The only wheels you'll ever see from Varrstoen, on an LS, are either the ES1 (BBS LM rep) or the ES2 (Volk TE37 rep). When it comes to stuff like the ES6 (Work Meister S1), you can usually find a nice set of legit, used wheels at a similar price point and seeing that you're from Cali, I don't think you're trying hard enough in your search Hit up the Wheels and Tires Classifieds or your local Craigslist and see what you can find. Heck, check out Zilvia's Wheels and Tires Classifieds. Happy wheel hunting!

I was about to get a set of white es6's but in the end just decided to pony up the money and get some 3 pc wheels, they were a bit more but in the end I think I'll be happier with them than the es6's.

i don't want to turn this into a knock on knock-off wheels but these folks said it best already.

As far as knock offs go for me, I'm all for it, so long as the original is of a somewhat unattainable status (e.g. BBS LM - buying new = $900+ per wheel if you're going for 18s. As for used, anything above 17" [in a desirable fitment] is bound to be $2500+ unless it's in terrible shape). Rep kits are okay if it's for the reason above or if you plan on using it as a base for a one-off piece. Lucky for me, I'm going custom

I for one don't mind "fake" or "knock off" wheels. I mean everyone has their own financial status. To base someone's ride on the fact they can't afford or are willing to commit a huge amount of money on expensive wheels, kind of defeats the purpose of modifying your car the way you like it. Now, you get what you pay for. And if you are going for that car show status ride, then yes, I say you Should invest in the legit brand name stuff. But if you just want your daily driver to look good, then why fork over $3000 when you can make your car look good with less than half of that. I love the way bagged cars look, but it's not practical for me. I love work meisters look, but it's not practical for me. So to get that look, I'd definitely go with a rep.

If you have legit wheels, then great for you. And much respect to that.
If you have "fake" wheels, I dont respect you any less.
