Welcome aboard and congratulations on the acquisition. I picked my 1998 LS400 not too long ago and love it. The gas mileage is very good considering the car's age/motor...its the same MPG as my friends AP2 S2000! Refined, handsome, etc. you know the deal with the LS.

Anyways have fun with the car and post some photos! Gotta show off the car now.

Congrats on the LS!

Good luck in your future modding and maintenance. I'd definitely agree with Timmy, in my opinion, you have the mindset of a good modder/car enthusiast.

To answer your question, I think the genuine factory repair manual is valuable even if you do not plan to do a lot of your own work. It offers a very good education.
LScowboy frequently posts a source for a lower-than-average-priced set of manuals.
