No, the simpler answer would be to just keep the car as it is, which is what I decided. That is another thread.

Stay on topic. Anyone else have any dieas on how I can get a replacement switch?

Mine is broken as well and the color of mine is out of production, so i have just been combing the junkyards every so often and seeing if i could just snag one from there.

the problem with going to a wrecking yard for broken interior pieces, is, except in the case of damage from an accident, the same piece that broke prematurely on your car, will be broken on the cars in the junkyard

once again, the dreaded pattern failure
