So am I to assume that if I do not have Traction Contol, I will only have 1 TPS? Also as Lexus 92 was having with his actually having trouble with his overdrive, can someone describe in detail the problem a bad TPS will cause. I would like to compare with my problem of hesitation when cruising at 1800 RPM. If I let off just a little and reapply the gas - it feels like a miss. I can make it happen at will. I have changed the plugs - but not the wires yet.
I plan to check the wires first chance I get. But my gut says that is not the problem.... Thoughts?
Also can the TPS be ordered from a Toyota dealer or Lexus only?
Thanks All! 92 LS 400 115,000m

Replaced TPS - Fixed Problem
Yep, for me the TPS was the fix. Totally eliminated the 200-300 drop in RPM's when letting off slightly at 1800. Run a search on this thread for much more info.

Hi there,
I own a 1991 LS400, i have a traction control problem en it points to the TPS.
I want to measure it but i cant find the specs in the book.
On the net i found i manual @ .ru but is said between 0,8-1.0 ohm.
I measure 1,3 ohm at the trac sub TPS actuator and when i measure the TPS itself with a 40 mm gauge it said more then 0,5 ohm.
What to do ?
