Looking for performance suggestions, seems like a rare thing to do.

This thread could use a little boost! Here's a potential mod for you guys, particularly 98-00 rockin' the VVT-i.
Here's a sort of build thread from a guy who ran a TRD supercharger (Toyota Tundra OEM) for the 2UZ-FE and mated it to a VVT-i 1UZ-FE (pulled from a GS400).

And for the first gen guys, fret not! A company, also a forum vendor, called Boostology has created a single turbo kit for your cars!

a single turbo kit for the LS would be easy in terms of the hard-parts (turbo, intercooler, piping, etc.). The kit posted above me could work for the 2LS too, as that's how I mocked one up.
Me though, I love how the 1UZ sounds at high-rpms. I'd build one with high-compression, rev to 9000rpm, and have ITBs.

Looking at it, it's a fairly simple single turbo system... Might be a bit of an issue for the slammed guys, as it looks to go under the oil pan and subframe...
I was thinking it would be pretty easy to build a basic log manifold with the turbo flange at top and front and build a twin turbo setup... The biggest issue for these cars is the tuning itself. While you can always use a stand alone, I wonder how much functionality you would loose over the stock ECU and if the car would still resemble an LS in the overall drive, just with more power.

the bedell car is now owned by Figs Engineering, and has a built 5.2 xUZ motor with that supercharger.
Bedell Racing had tried the 1uz but it didn't work for reasons which escape me, and they ended up swapping a 2UZ into it.
If you consider going down the TRD SC route, remember that a lot of the parts for those kits are LONG since discontinued, so if you don't get a COMPLETE kit, with EVERYTHING (especially the brackets supercharger snout, intake elbow, and coolant crosover, among other things) RUN AWAY as the costs to recreate them will be ridiculously high.
