outside of bad camber, uneven wear can be caused by bad toe. in addition i agree that the cupping can be attributed to the tire construction and tread design, but also to the road conditions and driving habits. some roads are more crowned than others where having a combination of negative camber and tire design will play a roll in overall tire wear.
