I recently went to the dealership to request a quote on some parts for my 98 GS. While there I decided to test drive an LS 430 which is the worst thing I ever did because now I AM HOOKED. My GS felt like a Honda Civic compared to this machine. I told the dealer that I wanted the car and to my surprise he told me to come back at the end of the month because he could give me a much better deal. A bit skeptical, but I took his word for it.

I have never leased a vehicle before. Would you guys recommend I lease a new one or lease a pre owned one. He gave me some ruff numbers like 3000 down 700 a month on a 2001 with 11k on the clock.

I could really use some advice and direction on this one. Thanks for any advice and help.

Leasing vs. buying is a big topic and covered well on car sites like Edmunds.com or Vehix.com. There are many ways to go about a lease, like putting more money into the security deposit or lowering the number of miles you will drive the car each year. These can lower your lease payments, so look into them.

When talking about getting into a LS430, make sure it's the exact car you want. Learn all the different options between the Navigation model vs. non-navi or Custom Lux / Ultra Lux and then make an educated deal.

I leased a 2000 RX300 in 1999 and then bought the lease after 35 months and I even got it certified to top it off. I am from Bergen County but deal with Greg Webb at Ray Catena Lexus give him a call. I did this in November 2002 in April I bought a certified 1997 LS400 from him.
