Default Joining the LS club again....

I saw a black LS4 with gold wheels here on the forum...LOVED IT! so I hit the net looking for a (Local) car....with black interior...FOUND IT.

The previous owner seemed legit: her relative bought it new. I'll run thru it this weekend to see what it needs...hella clean for a 96

As long as water pump and timing belt were done to schedule, it's legit enough for me. Hace fun drifting a big fat car.

Welcome back, how is the scene up in Seattle?

I also have a '96

here are the likely areas where you may have issues that ya might wanna take a peek at:

strut bar bushings
lower EGR pipe
transmission mount
motor mounts
Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)
ECU capacitors
PS leaks (which kill alternators)
cig lighter fuse link
climate control or radio LCD screen
upper control arms (UCA's)
+ side battery terminal

Thank you soo much for this list of common problems! Off the bat I know theres the cig lighter issue and the radio LCD is bad I just ordered a mounting kit and harness to replaced the OEM deck, so I'll fix it when time permits.

Im actually headed down to look over the car right now and see what I can find.

I think the scene is doing well up here in the NW. I havent done any shows in a year but I keep my ear to the ground I recently started up my GS3 thats been sitting for over a year

IMHO, the smartest thing you ever did on this car is ditching those hideous 98-00 original wheels!

Honestly I'm not digging it. I love the all black. The chrome goes better with beige, in my opinion.
