Just took my front wheels off and took some pics. Things have changed in my parts quest...

Looks like the winner is the outer tie rod ends. Pic 3 & 5.

1 is upper, 2 lower, and 4 is the lower ball joint.

I would disagree on the Moog recommendation. Years ago, yes, but in recent years their quality is dropping fast.

PS - the Toyota OEM for your upper control arms as well as your inner and outer tie rod ends was a company called Toyotetsu (Toyoda Iron Works) I would like find a repackager (such as Beck/Arnley) for this Toyotetsu part, or any UCA still made in Japan

Amazon had the left and right tie rod ends for $57.00 shipped to me with my Prime account. AC Delco is what I ordered. In general, they seem like a mid range in prices so I will try to get some before and after pics. Moog kind of scared me because they were always the cheapest.

Overall, most the other rubber looks good. If anything, the lower arms are showing a little more ware but everything else seems pretty tight.

If I match the threads and measure exactly where the oem end is installed with the new part, do you think I can get away without paying for another alignment? I've paid for 2 in the last 4 months. Once when I lowered and again after the oil pan gasket.

The least you could do is take it in and have the shop just do an alignment check. Should be free of charge and you could see if anything really did change

Has anybody ever tried of fcpimports.com for LCAs or UCAs? I was reading this thread earlier and did a google search for LS parts and found that site.

True, of course, But Some of the reputable frame/axle shops still will do this. There is one I have used for years which sent me out the door once a few years back without paying a dime, because everything was still in spec.

Inspecting the rear for what is really going. Minor side to side movement on the wheel. Trailing arm is the only place I saw movement. I would think the arm before the bearing. Right at that end on both sides.

Let us know if there is any noticeable difference in the ride. I notice the new ones don't come with the cotter pin.

She feels better. Steering feel is more consistent and smooth through a turn. Waiting for traffic to die down so I can take her up to speed. I'll let you know but so far it is good.

The pics on the order showed it with cotter pins but I received the plastic filled nut. Whatever those are called. Mechanic said those were fine.

Ok I have a set on order from Amazon but its saying it should arrive by the 20th I also have balljoints and strut rod bushings coming from Sewell with no ETA as of yet. I already have done new shocks and springs all around Plus rotors and pads. I have a build going on but no build thread lol. My sway bar bushings look good so I'll leave those for now.
