I say no. When mine got changed it was instant smooth. Hope you used genuine oem parts.

Well not OEM but I got them from Amazon and they were listed as OEM. Maybe I need to check the top bolt to make sure they are Tight up there. Heres the listing.

Speaking of Genuine parts. Is $107 a good price for OEM tranny mount? I feel like it's really high considering I don't get at least ONE of the engine mounts included...... or am I just cheap?

No its not. Register with Sewell using your CL user name and it costs $40.

No, the problem is that you ordered the cheap Chinese mounts, that ain't worth a flip, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you want the engine to be nice and still like a rock with no shaking, like when it was new, you need to go to Sewell or Carson or any real Lexus dealer and get the genuine Toyota mounts, and go back and do the job right.

It will be much easier the second time, because you know the tricks now!

This is the oldest story on Club Lexus, people try and cheap out with the low cost knockoff parts, and then it doesn't work like the genuine part, and they end up spending more money because they buy it twice and they also get to do twice the labor.

The number of items that it is smart to use aftermarket parts, is short enough to count on about two hands:

oil filter
oil
PS fluid (Dexron)
cabin air filter
tranny gasket
oil pan gasket
battery
tires
LED lighting

OK, see I am already starting to draw a blank on adding to this list!

If you put crap knockoff parts on your Lexus, pretty soon it is no longer a Lexus, it's crap!

When going aftermarket it's important to look at the companies reputation and feedback from existing customers. There seems to be a consensus that oem is the way to go when it comes to mounts. Lexus of South Atlanta has very competitive pricing as well.

$40 where at?

Just looked at the part :eegads:

Nevertheless, still WAY better than $107+ taxes for the EXACT SAME part. Thanks much.

just make sure that if you decide to pick up your parts in person at Lexus of South Atlanta, that you bring an armed body guard and wear body armor, Union City is one rough neighborhood!

the violent crime there makes Detroit seem safe!

I hear what your saying but lets not rush to judgement, there are a couple of things that could be causing the issue that I will check in the next couple of days once all the rain stops. I get it from your numerous posts on the subject that your an OEM kind of guy and have the background to back up your claims but if I go by your theory I might think all these older model Lexus' rolling around on this board and everywhere else are going to fall apart. That's what aftermarket is for and if it turns out these mounts are the problem I will gladly return them to Amazon, get a refund and order some OEM mounts. Money is not the issue but I will save money if it's there to be saved. Plus I don't get all giddy to Give Toyota any extra money. You know I read alot of your posts and have a good appreciation for what you bring to the board but sometimes I wonder if it's the same person making the off hand sly remarks. It just reminds me of my kids at times. No disrespect intended.
