Default coolant leak, upper pan

Yesterday I noticed a big pool of coolant underneath the car after parking it for a few minutes. Removed the splash guard and saw that coolant was seeping from the upper pan, right underneath the oil filter. I'm assuming this is a common issue. Removing that pan is a PITA since the subframe brace needs to either be removed or the engine needs to come out. '97 model by the way....

Update:
Checked thoroughly today and it's the damn water pump. It's leaking on the bottom right side and slowly leaking downwards to the side instead of straight down. I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend...
