PD - it's out of a 98' TT 6spd. I'm surprised the forum has come this far without anyone doing this swap & documenting it. I drive aggressively & a LSD is the only thing missing from the equation.

Unfortunately that won't work for you. The 6spd diffs in the US/Canada had 220mm ring gears vs. 200mm ring gears for the turbo auto/all NA cars. The case is physically different and the axles won't bolt up properly either.
SC/GS/LS (98+ at least, up to ~'05-07ish dependng) had 200mm ring gears of the same series. they aren't directly compatible but close.
If i end up biting the bullet and ordering what I want, i'll document it.
PD - so your saying auto TT & naturally aspirated have the 200mm ring gear if they were ordered with LSD.
for north american mkiv supras at least:
-all naturally aspirated (5spd manual and automatic) cars had 200mm ring gears and cases
-all turbo AUTOMATIC only cars had 200mm ring gears and cases
-all turbo 6-speed (V16x) cars had 220mm ring gears and cases.
the LS (98-00) has the same sized 200mm ring gear and a similar case, though the rear plates need to be swapped since the LS has mounting points in it.
