Help Appreciated (Battery Clamp)
I've pulled my battery out of my UCF10 for the first time to trickle charge it, noticed that the area where the base of the battery plate attaches to the "clamp" from the plastic overhead case is broken, essentially making the plastic case worthless, I remember seeing photo's of other members cars here and it looked like they had deleted the case.
I'm just looking for some insight on what I should do, no way I'm going to buy another OEM case because chances are it's a complete ripoff?

Edit: Also, is the design not flawed? I figured so when I seen multiple member's engine bay's with the case removed.

what about attaching some kind of eyelet screw to the sheet metal near the battery mount? I haven't looked at the physical layout but you could also consider some kind of strap clamp, running it under the battery tray and completely around the battery. I'm personally leaning towards the eyelet screw - if you can get some shop with a mig welder they could attach it pretty easy. Hope this helps.
