Would our cars benifit from having a rear strut bar? I'm playing with the idea of building one that bolts down just like normal to the top of shock tower and goes across the rear deck.
I think it would be pretty easy to build. and not to mention it might look pretty sweet sitting across the rear deck!
I don't think it would matter. The body construction looks pretty ridged any ways. Mine is 22 years old and still no squeaks, rattles or clunks. Great automobile!
more than that, the LS is a double-wishbone car, there is next to no lateral loading at the shock towers. Especially in the rear where the entire rear deck ties the towers together.
I can see the car being very sturdy from the factory. But my rear deck has been all cut up, and I think if anything it would help support the towers in the rear. The front would be more for eye candy, I guess. lol
