I'm a little bit lower than that on Megans... I'm almost tucking 18 rims in the rear. I tuck about half of the tire almost to the lip.
And the ride....prob stiff and bumpy, right? At least the Megans have a full-threaded shock body which means you don't sacrifice all the "travel" of the shock in order to get the car low. With my method, it's like driving around on 4 springboards
Well, here we are nearly 8 months later and my little DIY trick is still working just fine though there is now a large box in my garage containing a set of Megans. I'm not trying to drive the bags until they fail - just haven't had the time for the install yet.
I could have swore one of the OP's pics looks like the Berkeley/Oakland area where the roads are atrocious for the Bay Area...
Worse than San Diego? I'm from the east coast originally and I thought the roads there were garbage because of frost heaves, snow, sanding, etc. but the roads in southern CA are awful. What gives?
