I'm no expert but fully disconnecting the battery for a brief amount of time resets all radio settings as well as any codes following repairs I would try that if you havent already.

Actually just the negative terminal is required to reset codes and radio.

Educate me if someone knows, do the Nakamichi units require a code once the power has been disconnected? i know my 95' doesn't require it, but it has the pioneer radio.

What is yours doing? does it just not work at all? Or is there something telling you that it's locked?

I have the nakamichi in a '93.
The only thing that happens is all your settings are gone.
There's no lock out for the radio that would be silly. I bet the fuse blew.
If it's the same as a 93 the fuse box is at the drivers left leg area way up under the dashboard area.
Assuming you have an owner's manual, check for the correct fuse.

A discussion of the anti-theft feature of the 1994 LS400 radio (both standard and Nakamichi) begins on page 111 of the owners manual: http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do...449U/pdf/2.pdf

Once locked, only a Lexus dealer can unlock it. This has been discussed many times on this forum over the years so you should be able to find past threads if you search..

Sorry, this information is wrong.Once youv'e used up your code attempts, your lexus radio will shut down.Removing battery leads won't help, your radio is locked.
