Default Before you replace your 1st Gen brake lines..

I had to replace my front brake hose because there was a blister bubble, But I had to learn the hard way that not all new brake hoses are the same. I purchased two brake hoses at NAPA and there was a significant difference in the specs. In the photo you will notice that there is a difference in the collar height. The brake hose on the right is the correct fit and the hose on the left is the type hose you may commonly run into. This difference is enough for the horseshoe clip to not fit properly around the groove. I would recommend that you buy the brake hose first before you start the dis-assembly process.

Not completely sure but I think "Sunsong" may be a Korean name.

Sunsong is a huge rubber hose manufacturer out of China.

How do the Chinese parts compare to the Japanese parts?

I had also purchased brake lines from eBay and they were also the incorrect fit, It seems like there may be a lot of these mis-spec'd brakes hoses out in the market place, The best solution may well be OEM or Lexuspartsnow.com

a fitting difference like that is something i would expect from aftermarket brands, so this is not surprising to see. they will work just not clip to the chassis as well as OEM.

I love how all parts made in China almost seem as if they go out of their way to ensure that you know that's where it came from!
