LS400's on 18's ??
Im curious , I havent seen alot of ls400's on 18's , I was thinking they are too small however I have lots of access to cheap tires and would benefit alot from going with 18's , I just want to make sure they look decent , I think 20's seem too big for the most part , I just bought the car its a 1995 ls400 black with tan leather , will be adding Megan Coilovers within 3 weeks time,
My question is do 18's look good if they are 10" wide ect , so far from what I can tell it looks like tuner style 18's wont look good "too small," but if I go with something that has a huge lip on it they might look good , I dont want to go with the Eurolines since the whole country seems to have had those, but Im on a poor mans budget so im kinda stuck , I was looking at 19" STAGGERED VARRSTOEN ES112 SILVER , they look great but will cost me an arm and a leg for some tires where as the 18's I can basically get tires near free , was also thinking maybe the same wheels in 18's and drop the car down on them harder .... Any input and pics would be greatly appreciated ...
Trying to stay away from that tuner look , I think it looks great on GS's but looking for a vip classy look ....cruiser basically =)
Thanks
PS the car is Black with that gray bottom
Would love to look like , THE BLACK LS WITH THE GOLD WORK VS XX wheels that ive seen pics rolling around of , OMG SEXUAL =0)

Nice Thanks for the responses , Ive been looking at pics some 18's do look good but im in Maine and these damn roads have been lookin at atleast 19's for the ride height I can go with and looks.
All those 18's actually looks good , guess its a matter of ride height and style of wheels
So far the idea is set on this 19" STAGGERED VARRSTOEN ES112 SILVER 19x9.5 Fronts with 245/35/19, 19x11 Rears with 275/35/19 Should give just that slight stretch and I can bring the coilovers down nicely on them =)

They dont really look small depending on the wheel plus tires are cheaper but 19's do look much better on these cars

I've had 20s 19s and now im on 18s and man I love it. I dont think ill be on 19s for awhile.. Plus 18s have a better feel other then bigger size wheels. Brake sooner, punching it doesn't lag, etc.

this is mine on 18x10 with 225/40 F and 235/40 R
they are not "VIP"ish or with any lip, but as the car is not really a very "big body" it can look good with a track car look.

I find 18s suite the car perfectly, it allows you to go lower. And it's a versatile size you can pull off a VIP look or track look depending your choice of wheels.
Here's a picture of my car with 18s from last summer
And here's my buddy's car with 18'' VSXX

18's can look good and it factors with fitment and ride height. 19 is that just right size IMO but tire prices are 20's well, plenty of wheel repair threads on that.
Before all this bigger is better trend, the VIP styled cars in the later 90's early '00 were on 18's frequently. Plenty of nice looking rides.
