I got my megans in yesturday, and put them in last night. After a long night and lots of adjusting, I think I got it sitting about where I want it. I'll be getting it aligned next week. I'm running a 245/40/18 on the front on a 7in wide wheel. The tire is just barely rubbing the fender when I turn. I'm going to throw on some 225/40's on the front later today. Hopefully that will stop the rubbing. I like how it sits and rides, and I don't want to raise it up in the front.

What do you guys think?

This first picture is the front coils out of the box. A little too low, lol.

The rest of these are after I was done.

Looks good just like that IMO, Im running the same setup on my 92, same sized tires and im sure same rim width aswell. I like my car just like it sait the same as yours. Just throw some spacers on it and it will be on point. But Id suggest changing tire size in front to prevent rubbing just like Im about to do aswell. Looking good!

I had 245/35s (20) on an 8.5 wheel and rubbed in the front, even with the fenders rolled. Switched to 225/35 and the rubbing stopped.

Just got back from the tire shop. Put a set of 225/40/18's on the front, and now it doesn't rub anymore. Awesome!

On another note, I do believe the upper a-arm has hit the top of the fender area a few times on hard bumps. I've seen a few people just cut a hole on the fender wells so they won't hit. I don't really like the idea of that, but I might end up doing that so it doesn't hit anymore.

Oh, and a shout out to curcuit motorsports! Great price, and service! Top notch company.

it's an overall diameter issue if it's rubbing on the inner liner, not width. the 225/35-20 is slightly smaller than 245/35-20.

i run 225/40/18 in front. not sure if your year has the wire rubbing issue but make sure you get that harness tucked up.. I have holes cut for mine.

I had a thin peice of aluminum in the garage that I cut and bent to the shap of the fender well. This might sound kind of ghetto but I just took a couple self tapping screws and sandwiched the harness inbetween the body and aluminum. I just wanted to protect the harness from hitting the tire directly. Now the tire (if it does hit) will just slide on the aluminum, instead of the harness.

been there, tried that. when the tire catches on the aluminum it'll rip it off the mount and throw it into the fender well.

just move the harness now, save you frustration later.

I did think about that. I made sure that the edges were away from the tire. The only part that the tire will contact is a nice smooth surface. I even managed to fit the plastic lining back on, and you cant even see the aluminum. I'm not saying that it is not POSSIBLE for the tire to rip it off, but I don't see it happening with the way I've got it fitted in there.

The hole you need to cut is not supposed to be in the fender well. That sound you are hearing is the upper control arm slapping up against the inside of the shock tower. If you don't cut a clearance hole you risk breaking your upper control arms and having a serious mess of problems. Oh yeah listen to puredrifter about tucking your wiring harness.

Yeah, thats what i ment. I just got done cutting the clearance for the upper arm. So far its not hitting anymore. I do think I will end up moving the harness.

Or bring it up an inch to avoid the issues of riding that low.
