tune ups
#2
In June of 2007, and when my car had only 90,325 miles on it, a local Toyota performed the work for that particular service interval, which included the timing belt, water pump, transmission flush, coolant flush and "tune up," to the tune of $1,087.09.
You might want to look through the FAQs stickied at the top of the page to give you an idea what other maintenance items/repairs cost, and there are plenty of DIYs to do the work yourself to save some money.

for a basic "tune up" on these things (and i mean tune up in the old sence, not including the timing belt) you will be looking at the air and fuel filters, both distributor rotors and caps, both ignition coils, the spark plug wires, the the plugs themselves.
You can get into alot of other things too, like o2 sensors and valve adjustments, but as far as just replacing parts, thats all i can think of off the top of my head.... too many of my cars need ALL of this!!
as far as parts costs, you are at least looking at a couple hundred bucks for OEM parts... aftermarket will be cheaper with off brands, but i have had WAY too many aftermarket crap tune up parts melt down on me over the years to consider them anymore.
Some aftermarket stuff you can get away with, like NGK wires, which have always been good quality from what i've experienced
