Aftermarket Headunit
Hi guys,
My friend has a 94 LS400, and me and my friends are thinking of buying him a deck for his bday, like this one here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/DEH-X3500UI
Are these kind of decks plug and play? Nothing out of the ordinary? Just a trim piece to fit the HU in? Thanks

if you do the whole system and not keep any of the oem stuff then it is pretty simple.
if you want to just change out the headunit, well then it is another story unless you want to spend the extra money for an adapter kit...couple of hundred bucks!

Here is a decent write up on modifying the OEM components in a 1995 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...5-ls400-2.html
Alternatively here is a link to a company that add an AUX input to the existing head unit (this is the direction that I am going) http://www.factoryradioservice.com/
If you go with a new head unit you will need to find a face plate that fits that model LS.
