Default My LS resurection project NEED HELP!

So im sure some people will encourage me to use the search funtcion and i want to say believe me i have. About a year and a half ago i found i wrecked 1996 LS400 at an auto repair shop. It sat there for about six months with nothing being done to it. So i contacted the shop to inquire about it. He explained to me it had been his land lords car and it was involved in a small wreck. The auto shop owner purchased it with a clean title and started repairs. He at some point ran out of money or lost interest and let it set so i bought it from him with the majority of the parts needed to get it going. So i took my newly purchased mistake to a friend who owns a body shop and proceeded to pay him in full up front "i know" to repair the car. Well.... a year later i got it back mostly completed. My current problem that im tackling is how the car is running. It was hit in the passenger front side and then parked for two years with an almost empty tank. its now running kinda rough at idle and throwing p300/308 codes. Where should i start? it only has 70k miles on it and im not sure if the fuel filter and plugs is the best starting point of if anyone has any better ideas. Above idle its fine but its sputtering bad at idle. Once i get this hurdle passed i have plenty of more fun stuff to share. Thanks for your help!!

what are those codes? could be a number of things, fouled plugs, vacuum leaks from dry hoses... bad sensors of some sort. Looks like a pretty nice one!

replace the caps and rotors and test all 8 wires.
p0300 is random misfire
p0308 is cylinder 8 misfire.

Also check for vacuum leaks and bad plugs.
