Default O2 Sensors

Hi!!

I have a 1990 LS400 that needs new O2 Sensors. Does anybody know the specific sensor or name of the sensor, so that I can order the correct ones? Going to the dealership is out of the question, because it's soooooo old!!

Thanks!

Just go here and find your vehicle and click in the emissions drop down menu.

Denso makes the OEM sensor for your car.

Thanks for your help...I got the transmission mount, now I have an leaky oil gasket problem. Does this car have an oil gasket or does it just need a seal? I can see smoke coming from the back of the motor where the oil leaks out. Any suggestions?

Not to thread jack, but I also need to change them together with other parts. Is there any website with a list of part numbers?

Default Big Cloud of Smoke

I have a 1990 Lexus LS400. When I first crank it up a big cloud of smoke comes out the exhaust pipe. It lasts for about 5mins. Is there anything that I can buy out of the auto parts store that will temporarily stop the smoke until I can get it fixed. I was told that it was a piston ring.

Default Smoke

What could it be if it's not the piston rings and what can I do to stop the smoking?

smoking on the initial start up that quits after a few seconds is old valve seals 99% of the time on Toyota engines. They are relatively cheap parts in general, but it takes a little work to get to them.

If the smoke is white (not blue or black), it is possible that you have the classic problem with power steering fluid leaking through the vacuum system. There is a very extensive thread on this topic.
