Question 1998 LS400 check VSC light

I have had the car for just under a year now. I braked hard and nose dived the car, then the check engine light and the VSC off light and red light came on. The car started idling really rough also.
Long and short....I found on here a lot of helpful ideas! The battery was bad so replaced it. It reset it but only for ten...twenty miles. Back on with the car running Rough!
The car drove perfect until that initial hard braking. The car has had a timing belt service two months ago. I put some 18s on with 245-45-18 Ripken raptors around one month ago. The car drove/ran fine. Any ideas?.. Thanks

VSC is dependent on wheel speed sensors. One may be bad. Try disconnecting the negative for 15 seconds to reset the ECU. See if she resets. If not, you need to diagnose the traction control error and read the exact code.I think faulty batteries can set this code too. At least in 460's they can...

Thank you for the help! I was starting to head down the path of the "yaw" sensor..... What your saying makes much more sense!

One small bit of caution. In my experience with disconnecting the battery ground is that it causes the VSC light to come on for a few minutes. Don't draw any conclusions until you have driven it for a few minutes.
